Metal roofing and in-house fabrication
Metal roofing shows its work at the edges. Panels are only part of the job — the eaves, ridges, chimneys, wall transitions, and penetrations are where a roof either sheds water or quietly doesn't, and those details call for trim that matches the roof it sits on. RoofTop Company keeps its own bending equipment and forms metal components in-house instead of ordering pre-bent flashing and coping from a supplier, so each piece is made to the profile, angle, and length of the roof in front of it. In practice that means valley metal, drip edge and rake trim, custom flashing, coping, and parapet caps shaped for the building rather than adjusted to it — which matters most on older homes where angles are off, edges run irregular, and standard-size parts never land square.
The same care shapes the field of the roof. On a standing seam roof, panels run from ridge to eave with fasteners concealed under the seams, so nothing is left exposed to work loose over time, and holding that geometry depends as much on measuring and forming as it does on installing. On a replacement, the old roof comes off, the decking underneath gets inspected, underlayment is set, and the edges close with trim made for those lines. Material follows the site as well: aluminum, which does not rust, suits roofs close to the ocean, while coated steel handles homes a little further inland. It is slower, more exacting work than fitting stock parts, and it is what separates a roof that reads as one piece from one that reads as assembled.
